Tips On How To Plan A Surprise Party
Thursday, February 9th, 2012My mother has been working hard all her life in order to support her children. My father left this world 20 years back, and from then on, it was my mother who took the reins of our family business. There are 4 of us, 3 boys and 1 girl. I was never really close to my mother back then, but when my father died, I saw her pain and comforted her, gradually becoming close to her.
With her hard work, she was able to support our college education so we were all able to graduate from college. My older brother was a lawyer and I am already a doctor. My 2 other brothers were already seafarers, going onboard every 8-10 months and coming home again for 2 months.
In 3 days, my mother is celebrating her 62nd birthday. We knew we had to do something to give back to her and make her happy. My mother loved singing, even at her old age so her party should have a karaoke DJ. So, we looked online for a karaoke DJ hire so somebody can operate the karaoke for us and play some good songs while everyone is having dinner. We decided to get my mother’s youngest sister to cater the food so we could get it for a huge discount.
The children were also going to have a special number for my mother. We hired the services of a choreographer to train them with their dance moves. On the other hand, I, together with my brothers, were going to perform a special song for her. The song was my mother and father’s theme song when they were still young lovers.
Then came the big day. We did not tell my mother of the surprise we were preparing. So, to keep her out of the house while we were designing the entire place, we made her stay in the province for 2 days. When she came back, we covered her eyes and she was completely overwhelmed by the people who attended. We saw her eyes well up with tears as my eldest brother lead her across the room to her seat.
